The club time trials held last Friday were a great success. Many of our swimmers achieved personal bests, and everyone had great fun. The results are now available to download here (PDF), with thanks to Tracy Jackson for typing up them all up. Thanks also to everyone who helped with time keeping or other duties on the night.

Please note that we will be holding time trials on Friday 25 March 7-9pm, during what is normally the routine training slot. We would be grateful if all swimmers could make a special effort to attend, even if you normally swim only on a Sunday or Thursday.
If most of the club is to be there on the same evening it will be quite busy, and so we could use some extra help on poolside from some adults. If you were able to help, please let us know – either Stuart, Coach Ralph, or myself.
All swimmers please just try your best, and just as importantly make sure that you give all your club-mates plenty of support. I think we can look forward to a fun evening.
Ralph Lynch, club secretary

There is a swimming gala in Newton Abbot next Saturday, 29th January. We will be putting forward a joint team with swimmers from both Honiton and Sidmouth, because we are both small clubs. For those interested, we are organising a coach service taking swimmers to the venue.
For those swimmers who have been selected to swim (please see details attached here):
1. Please could you confirm your availability to swim as soon as possible, preferrably by indicating on the poster on the club notice-board, or by letting me know by email or telephone.
2. The bus/coach to Newton Abbot will do the return trip from both Honiton and Sidmouth. Please indicate how many seats you need, if any.
For those swimmers not selected, please don’t be disappointed – there will be plenty of other opportunities throughout the year, so keep up the good training!

As you know Jerry Wassall recently left us after over 10 years’ dedicated service as Head Coach. We are now very pleased to announce the arrival of our new Head Coach, Ralph Watson. Ralph was previously coach at Ealing Swimming Club in West London, the biggest club in the UK (1750 swimmers). Please join us in welcoming Ralph to our club!
